An arrested drug lord is taken from the city to jail by the SWAT team of the Los Angeles Police Department. When the drug lord offers a 100 million dollar reward for the person who manages to free him, it soon becomes clear that this is not going to be an easy job.

You could call this a testosterone party. Yet the big star of the film is iron eater Michelle Rodriguez. She excels in these kinds of films, leaving actors like Farrell, Charles, Renner and LL Cool J far behind. Only the always cool Samuel L. Jackson is just that little bit better.
I can be brief about the film. Action-packed, sometimes exciting, a lot of tight and cool looks, a lot of weapons clatter and many dark spaces and locations. And with a laughably bad bad guy. You have Jackson and Rodriquez and as bad guy you put Martinez against that. That could be better ladies and gentlemen of the casting. Great entertainment for the rest.

Nice film in which an arrested drug lord offers a reward for his liberation. Rather clichéd characters and the first half with the many training sessions could have been a bit shorter. Some great action scenes in the second half. The rock-oriented soundtrack is rather garish at the beginning. In the review, 3.5 stars are really too much.
