Enough notes. For example, the sport is a cool idea, but far too little and beautifully portrayed (wasn't focused on the sport at all after the first match), teamwork between Chris Klein and LL Cool J could be a bit stronger, and the romantic plot is also just an unnecessary side effect. But I wasn't really bored and looked it away just fine, although I will soon forget it.

3*

Well that it rubs against the pulp can be clear,

but if you think this is the worst movie you've seen,

then there is still a world of dredging for you to discover.

The film is typically over the top entertainment, comparable in level to most Steven Seagal films. Either you abhor it, or you can watch it with (sorrow) amusement. The latter was the case with me. *2.0

Mme.

I don't think it's flop level at all, but this McTiernan film is indeed not flawless. Among other things, it makes the mistake of being too standard and avoiding what is really important in the movie, the Rollerball game itself.

The Rollerball games themselves are the most fun, but are hardly present. There is too much drama in it and of course they turn against the big boss, everything the film should not do. It feels like a kind of third part of a series that failed.

For the rest it does indeed take too long, and it doesn't always matter. Less drama and more sports would have definitely done the film well, the result here isn't too good. McTiernan can direct, but this should have been handled better.
