"One small town pawn shop. One big time wild ride."
In Pawn Shop Chronicles, we follow a bunch of junkies who want to rob a crystal meth lab, an Elvis impersonating failure and a newly married man in search of his missing previous wife. Pawn lord Alton helps them on their way by confiscating some objects, while he himself tries to stay out of the hands of an aggressive motorist.

Pawn Shop Chronicles tells three stories that intersect. Many famous actors take on the role of different weird characters. Walker as methhead, Dillon as revenge-seeking ex-husband, Wood as mad sicko and Fraser as Elvis impersonator with Down syndrome. They all play their part pretty well.
The first part with the methheads was very entertaining, but the movie really shits afterwards. The last part with the Elvis impersonator ruins the movie considerably.
The discussions in the pawnshop were also quite entertaining.
All in all 3*.

Nice film in which three stories are linked to a seedy pawn shop. The three stories are not of the same level, as far as I'm concerned the middle one stood out. Nice and clumsy and slightly exaggerated, which generally turns out well and certainly entertaining. A nice cast, but the worst Wayne Kramer film.
