Orphans of the North plot

Gold prospector Bedrock Brown comes to a settlement in the Taku River area of Alaska, where she is supplied with new supplies by Taku Mary, airplane pilot and owner of the local trading post. His hunt for gold, accompanied by bear cubs Tom and Jerry, continues and the prospector and his pets narrowly escape death in an avalanche. However, they later stumble upon an abandoned mine, in which they are trapped after it collapses. Meanwhile, the colonists have organized a search for a lost child, Joy, who has become lost in the woods.
