Heat plot
Nick is a bodyguard and his specialty is sharp weapons, but he doesn't really care about his job at all. He dreams of Venice and gondolas. However, you need money for that and Nick is a gambler. Just before Christmas, Nick experiences things that others do not experience in their entire lives. Friends and strangers turn to him for help. Just when his life is in danger, Nick wins a spectacular sum that brings Venice within his reach.
