Eating Air plot
"A motorcycle kungfu love story."
A hot summer in Singapore. The girl divides her time between two summer jobs: during the day she works in a photocopy shop where she collects scraps of paper, in the evening she helps her mother sell newspapers in a kiosk along the road. The boy has been on vacation all his life. As a notorious truant, he hangs out with his friends and is mainly concerned with his motorcycle, a shiny second-hand 125cc. They meet when he sees her sitting under a streetlamp on one of his nighttime wanderings, waiting for someone to take her. To him, robbing a store is just as exciting as tearing through fluorescent tunnels with the girl on the back. For her, racing down the highway is just as terrifying as the mysterious messages he receives from his friends. In short, they plunge into a romance.
