DOA: Dead or Alive plot

"They're the ultimate fighters. They've got the looks. They've got the moves, and the men fall at their feet."

Dead or Alive is an annual martial arts tournament where only the best fighters in the world are welcome. The Japanese princess Kasumi is invited this year. This gives her a perspective to investigate the apparent death of her brother, who disappeared from the previous tournament. Other invitees include Tina, a wrestler who wants to prove she can do more than that, Christie, a burglar, and Helena, the daughter of the DOA boss who passed away last year. They will compete with the world top of all fighting classes for the title and prize money. Based on the game of the same name.

In terms of storyline, this Dead or Alive movie seems to be based on the various games. Focuses mainly on the action games, but also that one released title where if I'm not mistaken the ladies played all kinds of games on the beach, reminded me of this.

Dead or Alive is in any case a film not to be taken seriously. There is quite a bit of action in it in itself and those action scenes are also quite spectacular in themselves, and the use of wires is often used. Also the somewhat bland side of the story ensures that DOA does not get everything out of it because the film too often focuses on humor, but unfortunately it is weak humor that is almost impossible to laugh at. That leaves the ladies in the film, which is clearly a plus for men.

In itself quite a nice film with a number of entertaining factors, but unfortunately not fully developed to put down a really good film. Still quite fun to watch, but with a better elaboration of the tournament DOA can achieve more.

Just as good as the game Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, not so good unless you're a teenage boy who starts drooling over every beautiful woman in a bikini.

drowsy.

What a stupid movie this was. Really didn't make any sense at all. The story sounded nice, but it's so predictable and poorly developed that it really annoys you to death. Starts off a bit hopeful with the tournament, but quickly falls apart.

Bad acting by actresses who are only there for their looks. Aoki in particular is terrible. In addition, there is now and then a nice scene in between, but the action is generally very disappointing. Big mistake to let that brother live. Not even a final in the tournament? Sloppy.

Extremely stupid story with extremely annoying actresses. Characters that have no use in the story and a jan cock as a bad guy. What a bad effect. Skip it, story sounds tempting, but is way too poorly developed. Points for the start of the tournament.
