"Bigger Than "Here Comes The Navy" !"

Civilian pilot Thomas Jefferson "Tommy" O'Toole wants to join the Navy. Tommy has been encouraged to do this by his old friend, Lieutenant William R. "Bill" Brannigan of Brooklyn. Tommy is undeniably a talented pilot, but he is also brash, obnoxious and combative, quickly garnering enmity from his fellow students. Tommy even gets into an argument with Brannigan over their affection for the beautiful waitress Betty Roberts.
