"It will explode if it exceeds 100db."
Former naval commander Kang Do-young receives a call from a man he doesn't know. The caller states that he has placed bombs in locations with many people, including a football stadium and a water park. The bombs will explode if the ambient noise in the vicinity exceeds 100 decibels. Do-young desperately tries to stop the terror attacks.

An action film made in South Korea, then my expectations are quite high. And this one really doesn't deliver on this one. First of all, the intro of the film is totally useless for the sequel of the film, I think so. The further course of the film is also much too predictable and therefore never really exciting. Film simply gives you far too little to give you a fun and engaging viewing experience. A (very) mediocre film that will be erased from your memory. Not good, not really a total mess. So also the appropriate score of a four out of ten.

A year ago, Commander Kang [Kim Rae-won] managed to save half of his submarine's crew after a mysterious accident involving a typhoon, a shipwreck and a fired torpedo. Kang is visibly struggling with the hero status this has given him and he is not alone. A mysterious man commits an attack with a time bomb where the timer jumps when it catches sound (hence the title) in an attempt to get revenge on Kang. Whang ingeniously interweaves the search for the identity of the killer with flashbacks that reveal what exactly happened during the ill-fated expedition led by Kang.
