This film is listed in the book "The Bad Movie Bible." I find that a bit misplaced, as I can easily find worse films. It doesn't fall into the so-bad-it's-good category, because the film is simply skillfully made. Cheesy, bland, and with a weird plot, but skillfully made. The effects are fantastic, and the chemistry between Williams and Piscopo is also excellent. Moreover, the film has a brisk pace. Very entertaining.

A decent film in which a dead cop and his partner must solve a series of crimes. A delightfully ridiculous plot for this sort of zombie buddy cop movie. Entertaining, but thankfully not too long. Action, horror, and comedy that occasionally veers into violence, with excellent makeup effects. Easily 3.0 stars.

This is a rather strange mix of action buddy cop, a bit of horror and black humour, which totally escaped my attention when I was young, the film encyclopedia was merciless in its commentary, calling it a mindless and occasionally disgusting dragon.
Who cares, admittedly it's not a top film but it's quite an entertaining film, the 80s atmosphere is nice and there's enough fun action crammed into it, and the special effects are more than reasonable.
Treat Williams is one of those actors whose name you quickly forget, good but never really made it to the A list but played in many films, Joe Piscopo looked somewhat familiar to me but I wouldn't dare say from what, the same went for the actress who played Vincent Price's daughter, a familiar face but from what again?
Funny to see Vincent Price in such a recent film.
