On the same level as its predecessor.

That also means that you know what to expect here. An action-packed film, sometimes quite unbelievable, and a predictable story, filled in with a number of nice charming ladies. It all works pretty well here, although you shouldn't expect too much from it. The opening scene is very spectacular, but also so unrealistic that it almost becomes funny. The film is therefore meant or not at times quite funny.

The script isn't much and isn't much different from its predecessor. The pace is fast, the film quite entertaining, also thanks to the many cameos from famous actors, such as Bruce Willis and John Cleese. It will never be top-notch, but it is also a film that does not bore and is quite amusing, as long as you don't think too much about it.

Slightly better than part 1.

In itself a fairly standard sequel, which just tries to be a bit bigger and more impressive than the first part. So more of the same and that sometimes feels a bit more boring. The only remedy a movie like this has is to offer significantly more.

And that does happen. The right tone of the film is found a bit easier, which makes it nice and over-the-top from the first scene. CG sometimes really lags behind (nice, that scene from the dam, but it looked really bad), but it's functional anyway, so that's forgivable. I did not like the three actresses, who became too annoying at times. Sometimes it seemed a bit too much that they themselves were having a lot of fun on set, but didn't want to involve the audience right away.

Furthermore, a lot of nonsense, heaps of cameos and spectacular scenes (although they don't look really spectacular because of the camp content). The only real problem with this film is that McG has a lot of trouble surpassing the opening scene, so the second part lacks a bit of impact. But otherwise funny entertainment, I had the impression this film didn't want to offer too much.

Below average for McG.

Now it seems primarily a director who is committed to bringing big budgets to life. There is also clearly a large budget at play here. But I'm glad McG went to other movies after the Charlie's Angels series, because this is nothing.

The acting in particular is underwhelming. Barrymore and Liu are still doing reasonably well, but Diaz is really horribly misplaced. In addition, we have a pitiful performance from Moore. This was really bad. Very sorry again.

Above all, it's an extremely irritating film that is far too childish and irritating. All making noise, yelling and occasionally doing completely random things. It's all a bit too much the feeling that it was mainly a party among themselves.

The action is a bit bigger than in part 1, but not necessarily better. Although it is mainly the directing itself that helps things up a bit. A nice warm atmosphere and bright colors, with lots of details and well shot action.

It is therefore an eternal shame that the trio really doesn't do much in terms of action, and especially let the direction do the work. However, it's a shame that the film then had to be so incredibly annoying with very failed comedy and painfully stupid humor.

Here and there some nice moments in between, but just a little too little. The action could have been a little harder, a little more striking, instead of running, jumping and screaming. And as soon as Moore makes her final appearance, the film finally collapses.

It's a pity that McG's directing talent goes a bit under in a stupid story. Part 1 was still going at the time, but the film has subsequently gained a little too much self-confidence.
