Sam Rockwell is one of the greatest actors of his generation and his popularity hit its apex when he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for 2017's Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
However, he is known just as much for dancing in movies as much as his acting prowess.
Whether it be Charlie's Angels, Moon, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind or Iron Man 2, Rockwell can be seen strutting his stuff with an impressive James Brown-esque shuffle of the feet.
This isn't him showing off, though, as he says he does it to alleviate nerves.
"Well, often, initially it's about shaking off the nerves," Rockwell told ComicBook.com
"I remember doing Box of Moonlight, and I was really just so nervous. I would just dance to shake out. It was a screen test for Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Literally, George (Clooney) let me dance in the screen test to get the nerves out. And then he ended up using it in the screen test."
Dancing in Argylle
It seems Rockwell was an inspiration to the crew on Argylle, as Matthew Vaughn added more dance sequences into the movie after seeing the actor jiving.
"I think most actors like to ad lib, he likes to ad-dance," Vaughn joked to TotalFilm.
"I mean, it's unbelievable. If in doubt, he dances and he's very, very good at it. I just watched him, I went downstairs, I was so tired and somebody said, 'Try exercising to wake up.'
"Okay, I'm not a gym guy. And I went down and I sort of got on the treadmill, and I was loathing every second of it and I looked over my shoulder and there was Mr. Rockwell doing the most aggressive workout I'd ever seen. If anybody trains like an action star every day of his life, it's Sam Rockwell."
