Vin Diesel explains what we can expect from Fast XI

In true Fast and Furious style, Vin Diesel has explained that Fast XI will be all about family.

Fast X premiered in 2023 and although it received a mixed-to-negative response from critics, it still grossed $714 million at the box office.

The conclusion of the movie left a cliffhanger as fans were left wondering about the fate of Dom, his son, and the rest of Dom's crew.

"Just finished our end of the week Fast meeting with the writers and the whole team… to say the excitement for our finale was incredibly powerful is an understatement. Wow. So exciting." Diesel wrote on Instagram.

"While everyone was heading into the weekend amped and excited, I thought of you all… reminded of the countless moments when your enthusiasm and passion became the driving force behind our creative journey. Your commitment to our saga has had a unique impact on its success and evolution… as my youngest daughter would say, it’s profound.

"Thank you for being the backbone of this global saga that because of you, transcends the screen. This grand finale is not just an ending; it’s a celebration of the incredible family we’ve built together.

Fast X (2023)

There is still a certain threat from Cypher, who is setting up her grand plan. Dominic Toretto and his loved ones are also threatened by Dante, but with a past like Dominic's, his other enemies don't seem to forget him either. The mysterious Tess also makes her appearance. It is not yet clear which side she is on.

The Rock and Vin Diesel feud

After a scene-stealing showing in Fast Five, The Rock quickly became a major player in the action series. A very public disagreement with franchise star Diesel led to him announcing he would not appear in another Fast movie again.

But, his character Luke Hobbs showed up in the post-credits scene of Fast X after being targeted by new villain, Dante Reyes.

The next Fast movie will apparently be the last in the series, and so Diesel has explained that Hobbs needed to return in order for every storyline to be concluded.

"It was no easy task, because so much has been created in this universe," Diesel said of his co-star's return in a featurette for Fast X."To tie up all these storylines, this character needed to come back into the mythology."

It appears, then, that Diesel and Johnson have kissed and made up.

The Rock will now feature in a new Fast movie which takes place before the events of Fast X, which will act as a bridge towards Fast 11.
