Popular video game Until Dawn is being adapted into a movie.
Within the game, which is one of the most cinematic in recent memory, players take control over a variety of characters within the horror setting, making decisions that impact how the rest of the plot plays out.
Until Dawn plays with the trope of teenagers being stuck in a cabin in the woods while all hell breaks loose around them.
This week, a movie adaptation was announced, with Shazam! helmer David F. Sandberg set to direct, with IT and The Nun scribe Gary Dauberman polishing a script originally written by Blair Butler.
As video games go, Until Dawn featured an impressive cast which included Hayden Panettiere, Noah Fleiss, Galadriel Stineman, Nichole Sakura, Jordan Fisher, Brett Dalton, Meaghan Martin and Academy Award winner Rami Malek.
It would certainly be a coup if Sandberg and Sony convinced Malek to return as he is now a bonafide A-lister in Hollywood.
