The new trailer has been released for The Bikeriders starring Austin Butler, Jodie Comer and Tom Hardy.
Written and directed by Jeff Nichols, it tells the story of a biker gang in the 1960s.
The official synopsis reads:
'Kathy (Comer), a strong-willed member of the Vandals who is married to a wild, reckless bikerider named Benny (Butler), recounts the Vandals' evolution over the course of a decade, beginning as a local club of outsiders united by good times, rumbling bikes, and respect for their strong, steady leader Johnny (Hardy).
'Over the years, Kathy tries her best to navigate her husband's untamed nature and his allegiance to Johnny, with whom she feels she must compete for Benny's attention. As life in the Vandals gets more dangerous, and the club threatens to become a more sinister gang, Kathy, Benny and Johnny are forced to make choices about their loyalty to the club and to each other.'
The Bikeriders co-stars Norman Reedus, Michael Shannon, Mike Faist, Boyd Holbrook, Damon Herriman, Beau Knapp, Emory Cohen, Karl Glusman, Toby Wallace and Happy Anderson.
The movie is based on the 1968 photo book of the same name, though the story itself is an original one developed by Nichols.
As well as the main storyline, The Bikeriders will be a deep dive into biker gang culture from the 60s.
It premiered as the opening film of the 50th Telluride Film Festival last August and will be theatrically released in June of 2024.
