Paul Rudd admits his time as Ant-Man could be over

Paul Rudd admits that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania might be his last outing as Scott Lang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The actor first appeared as Scott Lang / Ant-Man in 2015 and went on to play a major role in the MCU, in particular through the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Quantumania is the third entry in the Ant-Man franchise and it sees Scott and his family transported to the Quantum Realm where the encounter Kang the Conqueror played by Jonathan Majors. Rudd says that, although we not see Ant-Man in the MCU again, we'll be seeing plenty of Kang.

"Maybe it is the end of Ant-Man," he predicted.

"I don't really know. As far as what's next, the only thing I can say for sure is that the Kang the Conqueror is going to be a very big part of whatever it is."

Quantumania has received mixed reviews from critics so far, but is set to be another massive commercial hit for Marvel.

Rudd praises Marvel family

Rudd believes that Marvel movies are so successful because the people making them, like studio president Kevin Fiege, are all fans of the source material.

 "They feel huge working on them because, you know, they are," he explained to Sky News.

"And I think that have a way of making films that are different from other studios… Everyone who works at Marvel trusts in the machine a little bit.

"They're good at making the things that they make. Kevin Feige and some of the producers, they know what it is that they want to see because they're comic book fans, they are Marvel fans. They've grown up reading the comics. They are fanboys and fangirls. And so, they really, I think, care about the product!"
