Leonardo DiCaprio famously told Timothee Chalamet to avoid doing superhero movies, but that doesn't mean the young star isn't interested in other cinematic universes - a music one, to be specific.
Two years ago it was announced that Chalamet was pressing ahead with a Bob Dylan biopic titled A Complete Unknown.
The movie will focus on 19-year-old Dylan before he hit the heights of his fame.
Chalamet previously revealed that he and director James Mangold hired the same crew that helped prep Austin Butler for his role as Elvis Pressley.
And, it got the actor thinking that perhaps Butler could feature in A Complete Unknown as Elvis.
In an interview with NME to promote Dune: Part Two, Chalamet told the publication that he was constantly picking the brain of his co-star, Butler, to which the latter responded:
“I can’t wait for that film. I wish I could be on set every day to just watch the magic happen.”
“I wish you were in it!” Chalamet replied. “There’s an Elvis character in the Johnny Cash biopic (Walk The Line). It’s really brief, it’s very brief, but I was kind of wishing we could create a musical cinematic universe.”
In recent years we've seen plenty of music biopics including Elvis, Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman, Respect, Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance With Somebody, George & Tammy, and Pistol.
