Dakota Johnson is open to a return as Madame Web and hopes her character can finally meet Spider-Man on-screen.
Madame Web premiered and his cinemas this week and so far has been savaged by critics and most fans.
Even though the reviews haven't been kind, Johnson is already talking about a return as Cassandra Web, hopefully to meet Peter Parker.
"It would be so fun to do more. I don't know what would happen," she told ComicBook.com.
"I admire so many of the actors that play superheroes but obviously, it would be cool to work with Spider-Man. But (Madame Web isn't in) the Spider-Verse and it's her world so I don't know what kind of crossover there'd be."
Madame Web is actually in Sony's Spider-Verse, but there is no mention of Spider-Man in the recently released movie. This is despite the fact that Spider-Man was meant to appear in Madame Web before Sony realised the timelines didn't match.
Spider-Man in Madame Web
Sony's Spider-Man universe is expanding with the releases of the aforementioned Madame Web as well as Venom 3 and Kraven the Hunter.
These movies are not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but according to Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider, there was going to be a crossover which would have seen Andrew Garfield reprise his role as Peter Parker in Madame Web. The actor previously made a shocking return as his version of Peter in Spider-Man: No Way Home alongside fellow Spideys Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire.
Sneider reports that the initial plan was for Garfield to feature, then those plans changed for Holland to show up. However, it took Sony that amount of time to realise that a Holland appearance wouldn't make sense as Madame Web takes place in the early 2000s, well before Holland's version of Peter.
