Films met heavy metal etc

Wie helpt mij aan filmtitels met (heavy) metal d'r in? Maakt hiet uit hoe sporadisch, als het maar lekker '80's en nostalgisch aanvoelt. Detroit Rockcity, Rockstar en Garage Days ken ik al (en alleen de 1e is enigzins te doen, maar dat terzijde).

In Ace Ventura: Pet Detective zit een stukje van Cannibal Corpse

Wild at Heart zit een gaaf stuk in de openingsscene van Powerhouse of zo.

Opera van Argento.

Phenomena van Argento, Iron Maiden, Motorhead

In Beavis and Butt-Head Do America zitten een aantal scenes met muziek van o.a. White Zombie en Ozzy Osbourne.

Hellraiser III

In "Airheads" zit muziek van Motörhead, White Zombie, Anthrax, Aerosmith en Primus.

In "The Wraith" onder andere muziek van Ozzy Osbourne en Mötley Crüe (MC is toch echt wel "lekker '80's" ).

In Ace Ventura hoor en zie je even Cannibal Corpse. Gummo heeft ook heel wat metal-nummers.

Ja "Gummo" inderdaad, dat ik daar niet aan gedacht had. Zit inderdaad vol metalmuziek, onder andere Absu, Eyehategod, Burzum, Mortician, Bethlehem, Brujeria, Bathory, ... Zijn wel allemaal 90's-groepen, enkel Bathory is 80's. Wel bijna allemaal black/death metal.

In "River's Edge" zit ook wel wat metal van Slayer en Fates Warning, wel 80's dus.

Queen of the damned; muziek geschreven door Jonnatan Davis (korn). Film zit vol met (nu)metal... oa. Disturbed e.v.a.

Ace Ventura Pet Detective wist ik inderdaad al, erg vet stukje, hoe opgefokt Carrey meteen raakt door al die gasten haha. En Do America inderdaad. Welke ook erg vet is, is Demoni 1, vooral die scene op een motor met Accept-Fast as a Shark, erg goed nummer. Bedankt voor jullie tips he!

Ik ben trouwens absoluut niet van de nu metal, maar toch bedankt voor je hulp.

1. Trick or Treat

-- An actual movie about heavy metal topics, including backwards masking, satanic rituals and music's influence on suicidal youth. Includes heavy metal musicians making cameos AND a great soundtrack from Fastway, one of the most overlooked bands of the late 80s. Watch for Gene Simmons and even Ozzy Osbourne as a preacher in this one.

2. This Is Spinal Tap

-- While created as a parody of the metal scene, Spinal Tap emerged as a real, albeit tongue-in-cheek band that made fun music. Funny as they come.

3. Maximum Overdrive

-- Steven King's movie about machines rebelling against humans couldn't have been any cooler without the AC/DC soundtrack. Who couldn't love the campy killing and destruction to the music of "Hell's Bells?"

4. The Crow

-- bordered a little more on alternative than metal, but the soundtrack was great and the movie was cool. The setting around Hell Night helped get it in this category -- some of the non-metal music on the soundtrack kept it from being rated higher.

5. Dudes

-- Had to stretch because this movie was more about punk music, but the difference is so subtle it's hard to tell. Had Jon Crier in it as a punk guy who goes with his friend out west and they emerge with this cool punk-rock meets cowboys and indians look.

6. Shocker

-- Didn't see this Wes Craven movie, but the soundtrack has some great metal tunes, including Megadeth's cover of the Alice Cooper classic 'No More Mr. Nice Guy' and some interesting collaborative work by other mainstream artists.

7. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

-- The classic series getting a little tired, but the title track by Dokken and use of other Dokken music helps get this on the list.

8. Beavis and Butthead Do America

-- OK, there's a couple of metal songs. Can't say much else.

9. Detroit Rock City

-- I haven't actually seen this one yet, except the trailer. The content, based around KISS, is enough to make the list. Friends said it was funny.

10. The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years

-- While this documentary tried to be the be all, end all on metal, it came up painfully short, leaving a viewer to think the metal scene was about 10 bands and three styles with no history.

Not on the list:

Heavy Metal -- the only thing really related to the music genre is the title. This is merely an animated comic book with some cool, gothic-sci-fi visuals.

Less Than Zero -- The title track was by Glenn Danzig and the Power and the Fury Orchestra -- Danzig's a metal god, but this song was actually not metal at all. It was his first work after Rick Rubin signed him to a solo deal after his work with The Misfits and Samhain. More of a soulful, orchestrated power ballad, but not metal.

Last Action Hero, hoe kon ik die vergeten. Onder andere Megadeth, AC/DC en Anthrax!!!!! Dat je het even weet.

"Blood Tracks" ("Heavy Metal"), horror over een metalgroep die een clip gaat opnemen in de bergen. Zo slecht dat het goed wordt en de groep lijkt op een mengeling tussen Poison en Mötley Crüe.

Van Burzum is het het ambientnummer Rundgang Um Die Transzendentale Saule Der Singularitat. Ik heb van Gummo alleen de trailer gezien, maar ik weet zeker dat dat nummer prima in de film past. Altijd mijn favoriete ambient van Burzum geweest.

Yep, dark ambient maar wist niet welk nummer in Gummo zat, vandaar. Ken enkel zijn black metal periode en ben nadien afgehaakt.

Uwe Boll heeft vaak vanalles uit de Nuclear Blast stal onder zijn film liggen, bv. Hammerfall.

Rock Star met Mark Wahlberg. Gaat over Judas Priest!

Het is alleen geen goed idee om een Uwe Boll film te kijken

In 2001 maniacs zit trouwens op het einde en scene met een lekker metal nummer

The Matrix natuurlijk. Marylin Manson, Rage Against the Machine, Rob Zombie...noem ze maar op. Niet perse metal, maar waar ik een erge fan van ben:

Lilja 4-ever

De openingsscene wordt begeleid door het nummer Mein Herz Brennt van Rammstein. Na die scene ben ik spontaan fan geworden en het ook gebleven.

Deze docu is zeker de moeite waard voor iedere heavy-metal liefhebber.
