Schitterende top 100!

Een nieuwe augustus, een nieuwe top 100. Zoals gewoonlijk is de nieuwe lijst beter dan de oude. Het zou vreemd zijn als dit niet zo was. 15 films komen en gaan.

De hoogste stijger binnen de lijst is There Will Be Blood (18 plaatsen omhoog), de sterkste daler is L.A. Confidential (32 plaatsen omlaag).

63 films gezien, mooi lijstje. Leuk om films als Los Olvidados en Murder, My Sweet in een top 100 te zien staan. Verder wat overeenkomsten met mijn eigen top 10 (The Night of the Hunter, C'era una Volta il West en Casablanca) waardoor ik wel benieuwd ben naar Adaptation en La Grande Illusion. Ik mis verder wat Film Noirs van Billy Wilder in je lijst (Double Indemnity, Sunset Blvd. ...).

Ik heb, zeker nadat ik mijn lijst samengesteld heb, mezelf tot doel gesteld om dit jaar flink wat interessante films van voor 1990 te kijken, omdat ik het idee heb dat ik hier flink wat meer uit kan halen. Hierbij is die lijst van TOR toch wel een goede inspiratie. Enige tips van films die mij verder zouden kunnen bevallen (n.a.v. mijn waardering voor His Girl Friday bijv.) zou ik ook wel kunnen gebruiken.

Goed om te zien dat 4 Luni, 3 Săptămâni şi 2 Zile ook bij jou binnenkomt trouwens.

91 films gezien van The One Ring, mooie afwisselende lijst, dat zeker. Opvallend dat ik een stuk of 8 films uit de lijst pas de laatste twee maanden gezien heb. Los Olvidados, Tôkyô Monogatari en The Best Years of Our Lives gaan over een paar maanden mijn top 100 ook binnendringen.

Waarom reken je de trilogie als één film?

Dat doe ik ook. De delen zijn gelijkwaardig en het is een doorlopend verhaal. Alle films zijn in dezelfde stijl gefilmd.

Mooie lijst, vooral die oudjes ga ik eens opzoeken

Jammer dat The Holy Grail het (alweer) misloopt op één plaats.

Uit Knisper `s top 100, 84 films gezien, waarvan ik: In Search of a Midnight Kiss, Wendy & Lucy, Shinboru, Les Arbitres, Dogville en Mr. Nobody op de korte termijn graag zou willen zien. Een mooi evenwicht tussen 'kleine' filmpjes en gearriveerde maar schitterende films.

Uit The One Ring `s top 100, 86 films gezien. Er staat verder alleen niet zoveel meer in wat echt aantrekkingskracht op mij uit weet te oefenen ( wellicht Los Olvidados ) en Amelie de top 100 uit sodemieteren is natuurlijk onvergeefbaar.

@ One Ring: Jouw top 100 heeft akelig veel overeenkomsten met die van mij. En de films die ik nog niet heb gezien liggen (op 2 na) allemaal al klaar en verwacht er gezien de raakvlakken in onze smaak, nu nog meer van.

Leuk om Mimi en Perfect Blue in TOR's toplijst te zien, benieuwd of ze daar ook standhouden

Billy Wilder is helaas de grote verliezer van dit jaar met drie films uit de lijst verdwenen en alleen The Apartment nog aanwezig. Ik zou die twee noirs graag in de lijst zitten, maar helaas passen er niet meer dan 100 in een top 100

Naast enkele films die al in mijn lijst staan zijn One, Two, Three, The Palm Beach Story, The Awful Truth, Sullivan's Travels en The Thin Man reeks (vooral deel 1 en 2) zeker aan te raden in het genre van de screwball comedy. Misschien ook wel A Letter to Three Wives, al bevat die iets meer drama dan de andere voorbeelden.

Ten eerste omdat ik het een beetje zie als één film, maar ook gewoon om ruimte te besparen in de lijst. Hetzelfde deed ik met Before Sunrise en Sunset en de Toy Stories. Het moet dan wel om een serie gaan waarvan ik alle delen ongeveer even goed vind. The Godfather als trilogie waardeer ik minder hoog dan deel 1 op zichzelf.

The Holy Grail is standaard mijn nummer 11. Er zijn een stuk of dertig films die ik een plaatsje gun in mijn top 10. Momenteel staan er al vier komedies in (Annie Hall, Lebowski, Strangelove en Adaptation), waardoor ik geen ruimte meer wil gebruiken voor andere komedies en moet The Holy Grail veld ruimen. In plaats daarvan krijgt hij constant de hoogste eer buiten de top 10. Een raar spelletje natuurlijk, maar goed.

Als het een kleine troost is: Amélie kwam terecht op nummer 102

Ja, onze lijsten komen nog al eens overeen. Mag ik vragen welke je nog niet gezien hebt?

Rest allemaal gezien en op de 2 disney's na ook op dvd, meeste vaker dan 1x gezien. Ook alle films die er nu bij je uit zijn, gezien en op dvd. Op Saragosa en Perfect Blue na ligt de rest klaar.

Eigenlijk maar heel weinig films uit deze lijst gezien. Mooie notatie voor Eeuwige Moes, al zou Forrest Gump wel wat omlaag mogen.

Opmerkelijke top 100 Rick. Staat echt van alle soorten cinema wat in. Grappig.

Nee ik bedoel die van Tim Burton

Dat klopt heb dan ook een brede smaak al heb ik wel enige voorkeuren voor films zoals:

- Misdaadfilms

- Films over romeinen/egyptenaren

- Films met veldslagen

- Films met kleurige gestileerde decors

Toto le Héros én Le Hutième Jour in je top 100, Rick... Dat zie ik graag!

Staat nog wel heel wat meer in dat echt goed is. Fijne, erg gevarieerde lijst.

Het is inderdaad een gevarieerde lijst. Nogal hit-and-miss daardoor wat mijn waarderingen van die films betreft, maar er zitten wel een aantal films op waarvan ik nog nooit gehoord heb, wat altijd interessant is.

Tijd voor de jaarlijkse update, bovenaan verandert er niet zoveel, zou eigenlijk de eerste 20 nog een keer moeten herzien om te kijken of er daar wat verschuift, maar kom er niet echt aan toe. Verder weer wat leuke nieuwe dingen erin, de nieuwkomers onderaan zijn traditiegewijs onzeker voor volgend jaar.

Ik kom tot 15. Reconstruction wil ik nog graag zien.

Tonari no Totoro (1988) staat er trouwens 2x in (68 en 98).

Stuk of 22/23 maar gezien uit de top 100 van OH. Wellicht dat ik er wat over het hoofd zie, omdat ik niet altijd bekend ben met de Aziatische titel. Stuk of 15 films klaar liggen en stuk of 10 ben ik naarstig naar op zoek. Films waar ik helemaal nog nooit van gehoord heb valt me mee (hoewel ik dus blijf worstelen met die Aziatische titels), maar blijven mooie tips tussen zitten. Uit de runners up lijst heb ik een stuk meer gezien.

Ik vind je mening voor de films die je slecht vindt totaal niet interessant. Voor de films die je goed vindt weer wel. Benieuwd, alles op dvd dat je hier noemt?

Niet alles, ik heb zo'n 160 DVDs. Uit de top 100 heb ik denk ik wel alles wat beschikbaar is. Een aantal films zijn jammer genoeg nog steeds niet op DVD met Engelse subs (Kyoshin, Yume no Ginga, Shinboru, Monday, ...)

Verder mis ik nog wel wat DVDs uit de onderste regionen van de lijst. Van bepaalde films is het zo lang geleden dat ik ook niet echt meer weet of ze die 4.5* nog waard zijn. Die schaf ik dan ook liever nog niet aan (de meerderheid van de laatste 25 bijvoorbeeld).

En af en toe worstel ik zelf nog wel eens met die titels, dus no worries

89/100 gezien van Onderhond. Van de films die ik niet gezien heb, wil ik vooral Kyoshin nog steeds erg graag zien, maar subs zijn onvindbaar. Verder een mooie lijst waarvan ik veel films ook (erg) goed vind.

Ik heb er maar 20 uit Onderhond's top 100 gezien.

Echt ontzettend veel films die ik graag wil zien en ook gewoon op m'n to see-lijst staan, maar op de een of andere manier kom ik er echt niet aan toe. Wellicht omdat m'n interesse momenteel op 'n ander gebied ligt.

Sommige zijn erg goed, sommige ook duidelijk niet. Er zitten zeker nog interessante titels tussen, waarvan ik er een aantal klaar heb liggen. Ik ben vooral erg benieuwd naar Allegro en Hôhokekyo Tonari no Yamada-kun , maar die laatste kan ik echt nergens vinden.
