Wat vind jij de mooiste filmtitels?

The Sixth Sense vind ik ook zo goed klinken. Great Expectations klinkt ook zo poëtisch, net als The Talented Mr. Ripley en Les Liaisons Dangereuses. En Ne le Dis à Personne! En Lost in Translation, en Dial M for Murder! En, misschien wel de allermooiste filmtitel, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain.

Kon ik ook maar zo'n titels bedenken...

Verder staan d'r een aantal behoorlijk lelijke filmtitels in je lijst, moet ik eerlijk bekennen. Se7en is bijvoorbeeld zo'n lelijk geval - al is de film wel erg goed, natuurlijk.

Zelf heb ik Alien altijd al 'n goeie titel gevinden; lekker simpel.

Nog een zeer mooie gevonden: The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.

Klinkt zo episch...

Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind vind ik een mooie titel. Klinkt zo lekker.

Se7en vind ik niet lelijk. Ik vind hem zelf heel angstaanjagend eng klinken. Ik weet niet precies waarom. Sorry van die spelfout. Ik heb trouwens nog een paar mooie:

Geen probleem, hoor, die spelfout; 't leverde alleen een grappig beeld op. Seven vind ik overigens op zich geen slechte titel, zo, maar met de 7 ertussen, dat staat gewoon lelijk.

Jaws vind ik zelf heel leuk gekozen, omdat in retrospect de misvatting over die titel heel grappig is. Voor wie het nog niet weet: 'jaws' betekent heel simpel 'kaken', terwijl veel mensen denken dat het de naam van de haai is.

All Quiet on the Western Front heeft een zware ondertoon en klinkt daardoor ook emotioneel.

A Clockwork Orange, omdat die titel meteen al prikkelt vanwege zijn onduidelijkheid.

Das Boot, simpel en krachtig.

Legends of the Fall, dat geeft al direct een episch gevoel.

Requiem for a dream klinkt lekker.

Jaws betekent: Jesus! A White Shark!

A clockwork orange: Deze naam vergeet ik nooit meer

Goodfellas: klinkt gewoon stoer. Alsof je tegen iemand zegt: ik ben een goodfella man!
