Khamoshi: The Musical plot
The devout couple Joseph and Flavy Braganza live in Goa. They are both deaf and dumb. Joseph earns a living by selling soap door to door. They have two children, Annie and Sam, who can speak and hear. When little Sam dies suddenly a few years later, Joseph loses his faith. Because the sale of soap does not bring in enough money, he starts a toy factory. From that moment on, his family is much better. Annie grows up and becomes a celebrated singer. She falls in love with Raj. This is against her father's wishes, partly because Raj is a Hindu and her father is afraid of losing Annie forever, which will also cause him to lose his contacts with the outside world. When Annie becomes pregnant, her father is out of his mind. He asks her to have an abortion, but Annie refuses. She is kicked out of the house by her father...
