It's Emma's birthday soon. She's turning five. What she most wants for her birthday is a dog. But her mother thinks she's not big enough to take care of a dog yet. Meanwhile, Casper, the same age as Emma, is very much looking forward to going to school for the first time. There he meets Emma. They both have a stuffed animal with them: Casper a lion and Emma a rabbit. The two children immediately become friends and so do the hugs. One day, Emma and Casper see a sweet dog named Bassa. Emma loves the animal and immediately wants to take Bassa home. Her rabbit is green with envy and hides. Emma is afraid she will never see her stuffed animal again. She is very sad. When it's her birthday, she doesn't get one big surprise, but two...
