Heksen Bestaan Niet plot
Somewhere between heaven and earth a secret council of witches gathers at full moon. This council consists of five Star Witches who protect the world from evil. Concuela, one of the five star witches, has bad intentions. She wants to create chaos through eternal darkness on Earth. The council of witches banishes Concuela to a mirror prison. This creates a big problem for the other witches, because because the circle of five is broken, their magical powers are not complete and they can not protect the Earth from Concuela's evil plans.

In itself a nice children's film, kids I was with really liked it and quite exciting. Of course it is meant for children, but I thought it was terrible. Story okay, but acting performances terrible. Singers as witches, why? And Vera's character was too exaggerated, big irritation factor.
2* for the story which was not original but entertaining.

Pffff....words fail me for something as bad as this Dutch film..
I can appreciate a Dutch film every now and then and I understand that a film for young people often has to be a bit "simpler"...but this really beats them all.
Even the kids in the family were yawning....just skip it kids/moms and dads.

Evil witch Concuela [Leontine Borsato] has managed to send a black comet towards the sun, so that the Earth is always shrouded in darkness. Star witches Solara [Eva Simons]. Astra [Sharon Doorson], Luna [Do] and Pandora [Eline de Munck] can only prevent this disaster if they find a new witch to complete their magic circle. Katie [Aliyah Kolf] receives a magical amulet for her 13th birthday and discovers that she has special powers. The Star Witches send Grimbeck [Vincent Banic] to Earth in the hope that he will find the missing witch before Concuela does. Leontine Borsato is only surpassed in her exaggerated acting by Janneke Muller as Katy's tormentor Vera and the special effects are not all that great. But the story is original, Kolf is fine in the lead role and "Showbizz Bart" Verbeeck is entertaining as the dance teacher. Easily digestible for young people.
