So I had to recover from it for a while.

Quite a wonderful film for the gore fans... the film starts quietly and slowly becomes more and more strange.

And suddenly "all shits hits the fan".....nice and dirty and a good story, very dark too.

The film is somewhat reminiscent of the well-known French horrors.

The gore is extremely strong and there is no CGI involved....an extra point for this.

I had to get used to the Turkish language...not my thing in film.

I will be keeping a close eye on this director and could easily become a favorite of many.

I'm curious what his next project will be... something in English would be nice.

4 big stars.

Second half is brilliant. Evrenol keeps it stylish and refined, with many intensely lugubrious images, appropriate synthesizer music and powerful use of color. An absolute mix of international influences, but due to the Turkish (exotic) background, a welcome, authentic addition to the genre. We don't get many good cult films anyway. In these harsh years with few highlights, films such as Baskin and, among others, III (2015) are ''saviors'' of the genre. At least, for those who occasionally expect something more than just another genre film.

Remarkable film from Turkish soil that starts very slowly, while we hear four police officers babbling about women and football in a remote café. However, the sultry, sinister atmosphere is immediately palpable and you know that disaster is lurking around the corner. When the officers receive a call to investigate further afield, we are introduced to some sectarian characters and occult events. This is just the tip of the veil, because moments later the film erupts into an extended, diabolic finale. It is graphically very interesting (reminded me of Barker's literature and films) but also threatens to lose itself a bit in the macabre. In any case, the denouement lacks a link with everything that came before, so you could actually only see the last half hour without having missed anything. That does mean that the scenario is unbalanced – not to say flawed. Still, it's worth gritting your teeth and waiting.
