Directionless unfocused drama.

It could have been a decent film if the dialogue had been sharp and interesting. But no. Nor are the characters, where they already have depth, sympathetic or interesting are not the words that come to mind. And if you take the whole thing as a reflection on the friendships we all make throughout life, then it is a very cynical one.

The acting is good, and the camera work is also okay. No soundtrack to speak of, and I noticed halfway through that I was missing that too.

Mediocre film in which a group of friends reunite after one of them attempts suicide. The characters are rather standard and the usual vicissitudes surrounding friendships and relationships are not very interesting. Typical case of having seen it all before and better. The cast does a decent job, but not enough for 3.0 stars.

"Ask for me tomorrow, and you shall find me a grave man." A line spoken by Mercutio before his death in William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." This sentence is the common thread in a film that feels like a typical '80s film. In fact it's a cross between The Big Chill and The Breakfast Club. In particular, The Big Chill shows a striking number of comparisons. Emma Roberts was cast in the role of Kate, but had to decline the offer due to other commitments.

Not very original and quite uninspired. The cast does a good job, but unfortunately this film did not fully entertain me.

2.5 *
