The umpteenth film filmed through the eyes of a handheld camera, without steady shot! I was annoyed by it for the first fifteen minutes. So turn off the movie. It wasn't exciting enough for me.

Footage film about time travel. Love the genre timetravel and this one can rest assured. Plenty of twists and mystery. The butterfly effect is well displayed. Passed for its genre. That's how these kind of movies should be. And there may be more like this.

This film is compared above to The Butterfly Effect. Ha ha, well no.

I saw The Butterfly Effect 15 years ago, I can't quite picture it yet, but it left an impression at the time, because I know I liked it.
But what was this then? No, really not for me. Too much teenage bullshit, too boring, too little tension, too chaotic and too poorly acted. I copied it, but that's all.

In addition, the story was also very different: At Butterfly, Kutcher tried to save his beloved, who had died. And this tjap in this movie didn't want to save his father, but was constantly doing the stupid teenage bullshit, being popular and getting a girl. For me 2 very different extreme reasons and so one is good and the other is not.
Not recommended. Unless you're still a teenager yourself, then you might like it, I don't know.

Boy, how many clichés can you put in one movie? Better stolen well than badly conceived, they must have thought. I could barely see through it. Unfortunately! *2.5

A nice surprise, with a cast that was almost completely unknown to me (I had only seen the chemistry teacher before) but that still plays excellently and also looks good. That "found footage" approach is a bit stale by now, but it didn't bother me here, especially because the tempo stays in place throughout the film, and the stressed ending provides a nice ending. Like several users here, this movie reminded me a bit of the setup of Chronicle, and it was actually just as entertaining. (By the way, I don't think the slow-motion images my predecessor is talking about were inserted by the script to show a nice effect, but were "real" on the video tape because the image was distorted and slowed down due to the energy emissions when the time machine kicked in – they form, as it were, an organic whole of the found footage.)

Provided that science fiction is not my favorite genre and certainly not time travel films within that genre, with a few exceptions. In addition, this film is expertly killed by the camera work. Hand-held camera work can sometimes have added value, but when the camera is annoyingly present and, as it were, threatens to claim the leading role, the effect is counterproductive.

All in all a mediocre film, despite the enthusiastic cast.
