Once There Was Love plot

Twelve years ago, Anya and her husband Xenya had a daughter, Nadya. The parents were still very young and their relationship soon fell apart. Xenya ended up in prison, and Anya went to live with her in-laws with her daughter. Later she started an affair with her father-in-law Sasha, but that also went wrong. The documentary makers have followed the family all these years. 'Once There Was Love' is a film about the dramatic life of an unusual family in a Russian provincial town.
