A rather bland, largely poorly acted TV movie with an uninteresting mystery at its core. It's remarkable that a director like Tobe Hooper is so easily drawn into such simple productions, but perhaps the financial implications were attractive after all. In any case, the premise is rather simple, with many characters who are rather over-the-top with their personalities and a mystery based on a lot of coincidences. The setting and decent camerawork save some of it, but otherwise, it's mostly too long and lacks enough highlights.
