Gabbers! plot

Go hard, stand tight, stomp, chop. Every weekend completely to the point, that was gabber for a large group of young people in the nineties. The hardest form of house, with its very own appearance. The documentary shows the rise and fall of the original gabber culture, but also tells what gabber still means today. Director Wim van der Aar takes a closer look at this movement, which was an inescapable lifestyle and goes much further than just music. Based on many never-before-seen images, supplemented with material from the broadcasting archives and amateur archives of the gabbers themselves, the documentary provides a unique picture of Dutch gabber culture.
