Das Merkwürdige Kätzchen plot
Simon and Karin are brother and sister and are in their twenties. They return home for a family gathering, where three generations are gathered for dinner led by a cool, reserved matriarch. In the cramped Berlin apartment where they meet, a lot is happening: a washing machine needs to be repaired, relatives sit at the kitchen table, perform an experiment with an orange peel, talk about lungs and sew on a button that was deliberately ripped off. There is also a cat and a dog walking around.
