"A year inside the world of Studio Ghibli"
This documentary revolves around three studio figureheads: producer Toshio Suzuki and directors Hayao Miyazaki (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro) and Isao Takahata (My Neighbors the Yamadas, Pom Poko, Grave of the Fireflies). The three have been followed since 2012 as they work on the new cartoons Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Rises) and Kaguya-hime no Monogatari (The Tale of Princess Kaguya). The makers try to capture as much of daily life in the studio on camera as possible. From 72-year-old Miyazaki's morning gymnastics to Hideaki Anno's voice recording.
