“Who thinks he can kill?” When Humanistic chaplain Martine Hulsman asks young soldiers this question after a day at the shooting range, all fingers go up. Hulsman: “The moment you are in a fight, I want you to come out unscathed and to be able to make the right decision. That you think in advance what is okay for me and what is not.” Martine Hulsman (38) has been the humanistic spiritual counselor of the 42nd Armored Infantry Battalion of Limburgse Jagers for eighteen months now. At the barracks in Oirschot, but also outside it, she is operational day and night to assist her soldiers with calamities within 'the company' and also with personal problems.
