Ten-year-old Adrian is a sensitive and lonely boy. He was abandoned by his mother at a young age and since then he has lived with his grandmother and his ailing uncle in a small village. Since three children mysteriously disappeared from this village, Adrian struggles with his fears even more. But then the ten-year-old Nicole comes to live opposite him with her brother and sister and soon a close friendship develops between the two. They seem to have everything Adrian has ever wanted. However, something strange seems to be going on…
