Stephen Fry: Out There plot
A documentary in which Stephen Fry charts the problems of homosexuals and homosexuality in the world. The gay writer, actor and presenter travels the world to find out what the experiences are of gay men who express themselves. Homosexuality is not equally accepted everywhere, and Stephen meets some ardent homophobes to find out where their aversion to gays comes from. He also talks to Elton John and David Furnish, the couple who led Stephen and others to openly admit their sexuality, and to American actor Neil Patrick Harris. Stephen also travels to Uganda, where the government plans to introduce a new law that would punish homosexuality in that country with the death penalty and life imprisonment. Afterwards, Stephen also travels to the United States, where he learns more about a therapy that would 'cure' people from their condition.
