De Verdediging van Robert M. plot

Documentary about the extensive Amsterdam sex crime case involving Robert M. from the perspective of the threatened law firm Anker. The makers film how the lawyers struggle through miles of file, consult with their suspect by telephone or are on their way to the prison in Vught or the Amsterdam Bunker, where Robert M. is being presented. In addition to the unique view of the process from within, the documentary shows how, under pressure from public opinion, the boundary between politics and the executive is in danger of disappearing and the rule of law seems to be wavering.
