Speaking Parts plot
Lisa, who adores Lance, is a chambermaid in a hotel. Lance is a cleaner cum gigolo, but calls himself an actor, even though he was only allowed to act as an extra. Clara is a guest at the hotel and is working on a movie. Thanks to her, Lance gets the chance to play a speaking part. These three people are constantly orbiting each other. Each tries in his or her own way to break through the loneliness. Lisa connects with Lance by playing the videos of his movies over and over again. Lance surrenders to both Carla and the producer of her film. Carla writes an autobiographical screenplay and uses this writing as part of a grieving process.
