In 1973, 'Quadrophenia' was released, The Who's second rock opera. The record and the film tell the story of the young 'mod' Jimmy and his problems with his parents, his friends and especially himself. Pete Townsend, the driving force behind The Who, looks back on the record's stormy production process from his private studio and in appropriate locations: financial problems, managers who were on heroin, a crazy drummer and locks of liquor.
