Earthbound plot

Joe was eleven when his father whispered to him on his deathbed that they were refugees from the planet Zalaxon. In his twenties, Joe waits for the Zalaxonians to come for him to lead the resistance against the tyrant Xalador. Meanwhile, he works in a comic book store, where he is visited by Maria, a lovely nerd girl who wants to sell her collection of vintage action figures. Joe has finally met his Lois Lane, a genetically compatible Earthling with whom he can continue his species. Their romance unfolds like a fairy tale until alien bounty hunters track down Joe and he confesses the secret of his parentage to Maria.
