Slagroom met IJs plot

Gé and Arie Temmes in Benidorm. The Temmes brothers are preparing for Christmas and New Year's Eve in the Netherlands. Arie takes stock of the past year and comes to the conclusion that more cutbacks need to be made. Meanwhile, Gé is hanging up the Christmas decorations. The brothers are visited by an official of the viewing and listening fees, following a letter from Arie that they have given up their radio and television in the context of the cutbacks. The brothers receive a postcard from Spain from their cousin who winters there. Arie calculates that wintering in Spain is cheaper than living in the Netherlands and they also decide to go to Spain.
