Well, if you're going to get a turkey, you might as well get it right. Now, there are probably more dragons with even lower scores in the depths of the IMDb Bottom 100 or the MM Flop 100, but let's be honest, the only reason Ooga Booga didn't end up in those regions is a lack of voices. It's a weak story where a rather cartoonish puppet (Ooga Booga), possessed by a black student shot dead by racist police officers, goes on a revenge expedition. Everyone in the film is a cardboard caricature with hardly any acting talent; it's not funny, exciting, or scary, and the film stays neatly within the lines for the entire running time. And Ooga Booga is a fat loser; luckily for him, his girlfriend is still pretty good. That it's bad is one thing, but at least make it entertaining, and Charles Band fails to do that here. What a shame.
