La Petite Voleuse plot
16-year-old Janine Castaing grew up with her grumpy aunt Léa. She never knew her father, her mother moved to Italy after her birth. Janine responds to her unloving environment by stealing what she can. At the cinema, she meets an older married man, Michel Davenne, who introduces her to the secrets of love and literature. Then Janine meets a young motorcycle freak, Raoul, with whom she goes to sea. There she is arrested after a theft, which means that she ends up in an educational institution.
