"The spectre of Le Fleury"
In the early morning of November 8, 1930, the Parisian lawyer Gérard Fleury set out to find the light with which to conclude his pastoral film on the setting of the lake Le Thuit. He died that same day under circumstances that have never been clarified. Three months earlier, he'd made a family film chronicling the joys of summer and the great outdoors. The garden of Le Thuit Castle seemed to be an ever-sunny paradise, without context and detached from time.
