Jeok-gwa-eui Dong-chim plot
Pyongtaek (South Korea), 1950. The marriage plans of young Seol-hee Park (Ryeowon Jung) to a young anti-communist activist are brutally disrupted when North Koreans invade her village. Her fiancé is forced to flee and she is left behind with her family. Rather than oppose the North Korean regiment, her fellow villagers, to Seol-hee's dismay, decide to cooperate with the occupiers to ensure their own survival. By the way, the North Koreans turn out to be different than Seol-hee had expected. She also soon realizes that there is a connection between her family and that of the leader of the occupation regiment, Lieutenant Jeong-woong Kim (Ju-hyuk Kim).
