Mijn Leven als Deelder plot

Jules Deelder looks back on his life. An autobiography in which all aspects of Deelder BV are discussed: including the poetry, the war, the dope, the suits and of course Rotterdam. We see Deelder making his debut as a poet in Carré. We see him on the street in London and at a poetry festival in Colombia. We see him performing at the Zwarte Cross and how he has himself fitted with a new suit. The documentary shows that JA Deelder has perfected his image over the years and that everything he does is dedicated to Deelder BV. But whether he is reminiscing in a hotel bar in Kiev with his daughter Ari, who is also a manager, or sitting in the dentist's chair: Jules Deelder remains who he is.
