Pearblossom Hwy plot

Anna is of Japanese descent and lives with her aunt and uncle. Her aunt and uncle pay particular attention to Anna's studies and her future career. Anna's goal is a trip to her ailing grandmother in Japan. Because her job as a nurse is not nearly enough, she also works as a prostitute. Her best friend Cory lives in the same boring village as Anna and wants to leave. To achieve that goal, he hopes to be selected for a television reality show. Together they set out for San Francisco in search of Cory's father, who disappeared from his life years ago.
