Ein Schiff Wird Kommen plot
Bruno (Karl Kranzkowski) in his fifties was once a surgeon in the GDR, but after an awkward clash with the regime, he is now a bus driver in the new Germany. Not stupid, but somewhat unworldly, Bruno lets his mother persuade him to buy a woman from an agency. Due to a misunderstanding, he thinks that the prostitute Anita (Christina Grosse) is his soon-to-be, but this woman lives at war with what turns out to be a very criminal agency. Anita works as a courier and smuggles small children across the border in suitcases. A suitcase with a Vietnamese boy and the necessary cocaine are missing.
