Concise noir by and from Baron, who has hired someone else for the voice-over. He sounds tough and determined and tells almost everything you need to know about the hitman. Often that something like that comes across as a weak means to quickly convey something and in fact that is also the case here, but, just like the lively jazz score, it gives some extra spice to the turbulent, precarious situation in which Frankie Bono finds himself. A loner who could use some attention, a cool frog whose temperature sometimes rises. Fatalistic and existential with Baron who plays a resolute role and has chosen a few beautiful locations. The plot is straightforward, but the mood of the film is there.

This film reminded me somewhat of Murder by Contract, perhaps because that film was also about a hit man, but this one is different but still has a similar atmosphere, the voice over is a welcome source of information
Of course it was clever to be able to look a little into the man's psyche and thus still have some sympathy for him.
Great movie, but of course no happy ending.
