Friends & Lovers plot

"... can you tell the difference?"

A group of friends who have known each other for ten years go to the ski lodge of Ian's father. The father does not have a good relationship with Ian. He has something to say, but Ian isn't listening. The others are David who is gay, Keaton is unhappy because his sister Jane is pregnant but does not want to inform the father, Lisa is everyone's friend but has no lover, John brings the German Carla, who immediately sees something in Hans, a ski instructor And David meets Manny, they have chess in common. Surprises soon come as relationships take new turns.
