This remains a fantastic action movie.

Chuck Norris's best movie!

I am actually a Chuck Norris fan.

and a connoisseur, I have seen all his films and have them on DVD.

And yes, this really is the best one.

I'd rather watch this movie.

Then off to the Titanic!

If I see that movie, I'll be in bed.

to sleep for 2 minutes.

No, but seriously.

I just love this genre too

and I also honestly admit

the previous Missing in action

I found the film the weakest part.

of this trilogy.

Did I say best action movie

Yes, certainly, because I like it.

There is a lot of action in this film, though.

This panned action film begins with a fairly convincing reconstruction of the fall of Saigon. The panic surrounding the American embassy and the unrest in the city are depicted quite convincingly under the direction of Chuck's brother, Aaron Norris. But then we are treated to the cringe-worthy song "Freedom Again" by Ron Bloom, and we know the best is over. Colonel Braddock [Chuck Norris] is one of the passengers on that infamous final flight out of Saigon and is awaiting his Vietnamese wife [Miki Kim]. Although she escaped a bombing of her apartment, she lost her papers, forcing Braddock to leave his wife behind. Since Braddock is told that his wife has been killed, he never returned. But when he hears that his wife is still alive, he returns to Communist North Vietnam, determined to find her and take her to the US. A lot of shooting interspersed with sentimental nonsense makes it clear that Chuck Norris, who co-wrote the script, can write just as well as he can act. And how is it possible that Steven Williams (whose character David Nester died in Missing In Action II: The Beginning) is guarding the embassy here alive and well? Answering that question is just as unworthwhile as this silly, sometimes downright cruel action movie.

Re-watched it again today after 13 years, this time seen on Blu-ray!

Great picture and sound on the Blu-ray, and I think this one, along with part 1, is the best!

In this part, just like part 1, first in the city and later in the jungle, this time he hears that his wife is still alive and that he also has a son; this brings him back to Vietnam!

With plenty of shootouts, fights, and many explosions, this installment is very exciting!

He also has to safely transport a large group of children.

The finale was spectacular!

A wonderful conclusion; next time I'm going to rewatch the "Delta Force" films.
